A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu'alaikum,

I am modest, kind, friendly, intellectual and family oriented. I enjoy being out in nature, hiking, travelling, and sightseeing, but also being with my family, cooking, reading, learning new languages (I speak English, Urdu/Hindi, Spanish, and I'm learning Arabic). I love my work with children teaching them both Islamic Studies and secular subjects and I love being involved with my masjid, preparing for and leading youth programs. I am soon graduating with a Masters in Education in 2025 inshaAllah and then a full-time teacher. I also love studying my deen part-time through local scholars and online classes.

Alhumdulillah I am a hijabi and one day inshaAllah will be a niqabi, I have a younger sister and that's about it, we're a small family. My dad was a former physician and pharmacist and now he's working for a company and my mother is a teacher. For those who care, my family is Bhopali but we also have roots in Pathan from my mom's side.

I was born in India but raised in the U.S. since childhood, I'm still an Indian citizen and to let you know in advance, not looking for an American status or anything. I grew up in the beautiful multicultural world of Northern California so I love the idea of moving abroad to a different country and learning about a new culture and language and people and their food.
